Quest for jajangmyun

After watching the Infinity Challenge team travel around korea looking for jajangmyun and jampong i got a craving for jajangmyun. Noodles are one of my favourite foods. I've seen it a few times on korean tv shows and always thought it would be delicious. I couldn't remember seeing it on any of the menus of restaurants I've been to in the past so I asked for recommendations from my korean friends. I decided to give Ye dang located on Dixon st in Sunnybank a go after good reviews from friends saying it's the best in Brisbane even. I had a bit of trouble finding it as it's kinda hidden away and i couldn't find the address except that it's near the sunnybank train station. Anyway, friday evening after work 5 mins after ordering my takeaway jajangmyun costing me $10 was ready. I was surprised to find they also gave me a free drink. Jajangmyun is noodles mixed with a savoury black bean sauce. It's actually a fusion dish the korean version of a similar chinese dish. It is served with a side dish of pickled radish. The sweetness of the onions took me by surprise and added a nice balance to the dish. There's also small pieces of meat mixed in the sauce which i think is chicken. Overall for a lover of carbs and noodles this was a great dish for dinner I give it 9 G's out of 10 :) I would definitely recommend the jajangmyun at Ye dang. I will definitely be going back to try some other dishes. It's a small place that would be able to fit around 20 ppl and features an open kitchen where you can watch the chef cook if u wanted to.
